Stoloniferous perennial; culms up to 30 cm high, slender, erect or ascending; leaf laminas 2–12.5 cm × 4–8 mm, linear-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, flat, glabrous, green or glaucous, the lower attenuated at the base, sometimes into a slender false petiole up to 3.5 cm long.Raceme 2–6.5 cm long, straight, with internodes 2–5 mm long and up to 2 mm wide.Spikelets 1-flowered, 3–5 mm long (the terminal 5–8 mm long); superior glume oblong-lanceolate to oblong-ovate, 5–9-nerved, smooth, acute or acuminate; lemma 2.5–4 mm long, ovate-oblong or ovate-elliptic, glabrous or minutely hairy at the base, obtuse; anthers 0.6–2 mm long. |
