Description: |
Leaves pinnate, to 10 cm long, with a filiform rachis and 3–5 filiform segments to 5 cm long, glabrous or sparsely setulose; petiole to 3 cm long. Capitula solitary and terminal; peduncle to 12 cm long; involucre 4–5 mm long; outer phyllaries 8, inner phyllaries reddish brown, glabrous or ciliate. Ray florets yellow, neuter, 8, rays 15–20 x 3–4 mm; disc florets brownish-yellow or orange. Achenes black, narrowly ellipsoid, striate-sulcate and bristly, graded monomorphic, 6–14 mm long; aristae 2, ± 1 mm long, retrorsely barbed at apex. |
