Description:
|
Climber or scrambler, up to 1.5 m long, stellate-hairy, armed with short, more or less curved spines on stems and leaves. Leaves sinuate-lobed with reddish brown hairs on both surfaces. flowers in lateral inflorescences, large and showy, up to 6 cm in diameter, deep mauve-blue to violet. Fruit spherical, 3-5 cm, glossy, golden-yellow to red when ripe. |
