Notes: 3 m high; Shrub; Notes: Shrub, 3 m tall. Stems: smooth, light brown with sharp spines. A single sharp spine at base of most leaves. Leaves: circular, velvety. Fruit: a round berry about 5 mm long, with a ring of persistent calyx at apex.
