Notes: | Herb; Notes: Annual herb, 40 cm when in flower. Stems erect, rigid, terete, green, slightly canaliculate with dense long, white, straight, rigid indumentum. Leaves alternate, trifoliolate; petiole slender, 1.5-2.5 cm long, indumentum as above; stipule linear, 6 mm long, green, caducous; lamina cordiform; pinna obovate, apex truncate, base cuneate, margin irregularly crenate to lobed, median pinna = up to 20 x 12 mm, laterally up to 15 x 10 mm, bright green with pinkish edging, adaxially glabrous, abaxially with sparse adpressed indumentum, venation prominent. Flowers past, solitary, axillary/terminal. Sepals 5, persistent, ovate, fused, margins green, costally maroon-purple, intercostally hyaline, densely pubescent. Epicalyx segments directly beneath calyx, linear, green, 10 x 1 mm, densely pubescent and ciliate. Fruit: 4-lobed capsule, globose, densely pubescent. |
