Notes: Shrub; Notes: Tree/shrub, multi-stemmed, up to 3.5 m in height. No flowers or fruit. Leaves shiny green above, pale dull green below. On older stems small side branches forming thick pseudothorns Most leaves eaten by scale insects. Uncommon. Area of degraded Baikiaea woodland with a very dense understory. Soils reddish yellow dystrophic kalahari sands.
