Low ridge with numerous outcrops of quartzite, with open Brachystegia microphylla woodland; other common trees include Diplorhynchus, Vangueria and Syzygium guineense. Coarse sandy soils, recent widespread burning. Quartzite rocks with abundant ColeochloaChimanimani foothills, Maronga, Madzireni area, ridge west of Chiira River.
