General Information
Date of birth: 1935 BiographyThe following brief details were kindly supplied by Peter Woodall in January 2009. Dr Dave Mitchell was a friendly and inspiring lecturer in the Botany Department at the University [of Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe]. He taught the ferns and other "lower plants" to undergraduates but his particular interest was in aquatic plants and their ecology and he taught this section of the M.Sc. (Tropical Resource Ecology) program at UR/UZ. He later moved to Australia and became Chief of the CSIRO Division of Irrigation Research and is now retired. |
