Image notes:Bulbous herb to 30cm. Bulb covered in fibres, yellowish when cut open; roots fleshy. Basal leaves semi-succulent. Dense terminal raceme of white (blue-tinged) flowers; flowers very open, on-tubular; anthers dark grey-blue. Pollinated by bees.
