Description of the genus

Unarmed tree. Leaves 2-pinnate, without glands; leaflets alternate or subopposite. Inflorescences of racemes. Flowers bisexual. Calyx with 5 teeth. Petals 5. Stamens 10. Pod straight, woody, indehiscent, bluntly 4-angled in cross section. Seeds hard, brown.

Worldwide: 1 species in tropical Africa

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
