Description of the genus

Epiphytic herbs with monopodial growth; stems long, often climbing with roots produced all along the stem. Leaves either present and distichous or 0 (aphylla). Inflorescences axillary. Sepals and petals free, ± similar. Lip usually very small, entire or 3-lobed, spurred at base.

Worldwide: 5 species in the tropics from Africa to the Mascarenes.

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
