Description of the genus

Small epiphytic herbs with monopodial growth. Pseudobulbs 0. Stems short, with dense sheathing leaf bases. Leaves distichous. Inflorescences axillary. Flowers white or greenish-white, translucent. Sepals and petals ± equal. Lip entire or 3-lobed, spurred. Spur tapering from a wide mouth.

Worldwide: 9 species in eastern and southern Africa

Mozambique: 2 taxa.
