Description of the genus

Perennial herbs or weak shrubs. Leaves opposite, ovate, 3-veined. Synflorescence solitary, terminal capitate or open paniculate cymes; capitula radiate; involucre hemispheric to campanulate; ray florets yellow, corolla yellow. Fruit an achene, 3- or 4-angled. Pappus absent.

Worldwide: 2 species in China

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
