Brachycome Cass.

Description of the genus

Herbs. Leaves in a basal rosette or alternate along the stem; petiole base sheathed; blade entire, toothed or divided in two. Inflorescence either solitary or several usually on long stalks. Ray flowers white, blue, pink or purple; disc flowers yellow. Fruit compressed with four angles and short hairs.

Worldwide: C. 70 species, mainly in Australia and Tasmania

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
