Lianas. Leaves opposite with long petioles. Inflorescence consisting of cymes, extra-axillary, pendulous; rhachis laxly branched. Calyx with 5 glands at base; corolla tube cylindric, enlarged at base; throat sometimes constricted; lobes twisted to right; corona lobes 5, adnate to base of staminal tube; margin and apex free, erect. Fruit a follicle, thick, acuminate. Seeds comose. Worldwide: 5 species; 4 in Asia, 1 in tropical Africa. Mozambique: 1 taxon. |
