Description of the genus

Pilose creeping herbs. Leaves alternate, circular, coarsely lobed and toothed. Inflorescences in 1-few-flowered extra-axillary racemes. Pedicels with bract (or leaf) at base, not geniculate. Calyx segments 5. Corolla campanulate, 5-lobed. Stamens 5. Staminodes 0. Ovary superior. Fruit a capsule.

Worldwide: 3 species in tropical African mountains

Mozambique: 1 taxon.
