Petals 4, yellow, white or purplish-rose. Stamens 8. Stigma deeply 4-lobed. Seeds glabrous. Evening primroses, so called because they often flower in the evening. Worldwide: 124 species in mainly temperate America, but widely naturalised elsewhere in the world. Mozambique: 1 taxon. |
