Description: |
Shrub or sizeable tree up to 20 m tall. Leaves 2-foliolate, hairless. Leaflets ovate-elliptic, 5-10.5 cm long, strongly asymmetric with a distinct midrib, dark spots the visible beneath; margin entire; petiole 1.2-3 cm long. Flowers in axillary and terminal panicles. Flowers c. 15 mm long with 3 white, upper petals, almost round, c. 9 mm long and 2 minute lower ones, oblong, c. 1.5 mm long. Pod ovoid to ellipsoid, c. 5 cm long, hairless except for a ring of hairs at the base, covered with numerous resin-filled warts, indehiscent. |
